The film presents events from the Earthquake of Gyumri in 1988, to our days, in Yerevan, Gyumri, Karabakh, Baku and Paris. In 1988, during the Earthquake in Gyumri, Rafayel Setyan and his wife, Eva, lost their son, Gor, after which they moved to Yerevan. Rafayel started working at his friend Sedrak Arsenyan's hospital. Sedrak's and Lidia's marriage is not happy. Their son Abel is a selfish and cynical personality. Grig is Albert Haroyan's and Silva's son. He is Abel's friend from childhood. Gurgen and Arus don't have children. When the war in Karabakh begins, Sedrak, as a volunteer, goes to the front with his friends, Haroyan and Gurgen. Rafayel doesn't go, but, as fate willed it, he appears in the front. Abram Soghomonyan, a wealthy Armenian doctor from Paris, who is Sedrak's old friend, sends weapons to Karabakh with his son, Arthur. Sedrak asks Rafayel to accompany Arthur. On the same day Eva realizes that she is pregnant. Rafayel and Arthur are taken prisoner during the unexpected attack at night. They both are tortured in a jail in Baku. Arthur is killed in the jail. A couple of years later, Rafayel manages to run away. Rafayel comes to Paris, to Abraham, and they start a plan of killing all the Azeri officers who had any connection with the murders of Arthur and many Armenian soldiers, children and women. At a certain moment Abraham steps back from the idea of revenge. Raf returns to Armenia and continues the unfinished work. Raf's main target is Hasan who always manages to remain unhurt. Raf's return to Armenia makes Sedrak and Abo doubt. Moreover, their sons suffer from several circumstances. Raf has to think about their security. Albert Haroyan's second son, Edmon, who was born in Karabakh, is the son of a Russian woman and Hasan. When Silva's child died shortly after his birth, she takes the newborn baby of the Russian woman because the latter died during childbirth. Edmon, who serves in the Army on the frontier in Karabakh, is taken prisoner. Hasan tells Albert that Edmon died and doesn't give back his corpse. In fact, Edmon is in Gabistan where tha Azerbaijanians prepare soldiers, sentenced to death. Raf tries to rescue Edmon from Gabistan but Albert Haroyan doesn't trust him and unwillingly lays obstacles in the process of his son's rescue. Someone unknown always helps Raf from abroad. Maybe he is Arthur, who didn't die and was prepared in Gabistan, but remembers who he is. Or maybe it is Abram Markich who hasn't stepped back from the idea of revenge. Or maybe someone else¦ Raf's daughter, Nina, thinks that Sedrak is her father. She does not know that Raf is her father. Raf, in his turn, doesn't know that Nina is his daughter. Raf and Eva haven't met yet. How will they meet? Finally, will Raf , who is tangled in many personal and other problems, manage to realise his main goal?
